Dr. Acevedo began private practice in Colorado in 1985. As he built a brand new practice originally located in Thornton, he served as a staff dentist for Salude Del Valle Dental Clinics from 1983 to 1987, and was an associate dentist for a large downtown Denver dental office. 

Dr. Acevedo graduated from the University of Iowa with Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1982. After dental school, he completed a general dentistry hospital residency program in 1983. This valuable time was spent gaining experience in more complex dental treatment plans, oral surgery, and medically compromised patients.

Dr. Acevedo's move to Colorado was prompted by the great weather and beautiful mountain scenery the state provides. Skiing, fishing, camping and hunting are some of the Colorado activities he enjoys.

After practicing dentistry for over 30 years, he still enjoys the people part of dentistry, and he finds helping make patients comfortable rewarding. He keeps his abilities and skills updated with continuing education classes including dental implant placement, lasers in dentistry, Botox, and dermal fillers.
